Internet sites have claimed that Bigfoot eats a high protein diet containing of squirrels, deer, fish, dogs, cats, and chickens because he hibernates in the winter. All of the sites have stated that Bigfoot does not go after humans unless they are threatening him.
Within all of the description, the authors even put in voice overs of the beast being angry, mating, surprised, and warnings.
It is absurd to have all of these different sounds because honestly, they sound like cars going down the road or voice overs from dinosaurs from Steven Spielberg's, Jurassic Park.
The internet has made society's views on Bigfoot grow immensely. The internet claims that Sasquatch is a gentle and playful giant with humans. Also that the creature's height ranges from 6-15 feet and lives to approximately 120-140 years.

TelevisionTelevision has used this mythical creature to create multiple different clips of Bigfoot. On Animal Planet they made a hit show called, "Finding Bigfoot". Even Nickelodeon's, iCarly, and Disney Channel's, Phineas and Ferb has mentioned the mythical creature and has made it into a comedy. Back in the 1980's, there was a TV show called, "Harry and the Hendersons", where it made fun of the concept of Bigfoot and how it was a gentle beast that lived with a family. Society has been captivated by this mysterious icon and has made it revolutionize over the years.
Commercials have been using the concept of Bigfoot to advertise different products. The latest commercial is Jack Link's Beef Jerky. "Messin' with the Sasquatch" has made viewers look at the creature in a new way. It is a funny, scary twist on the beast and viewers love it. Jeffrey Meldrum is creating a new internet TV project that expans on the version of "Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science." The video to the right, "Bigfoot DNA found by scientists", talks about the Jacobs Photographs from Northwest Pennsylvania. They say that the photos are the clearest picture of the so called creature. The video talks about how the the video that was filmed looks more like a chimpanzee than a human- like figure. The video then continues to MSNBC where they use Bob Kiviat, from "World's Greatest Hoaxes Exposed" to debunk the video made by Jacobs. He says that it could not possibly be Bigfoot because of the shape of the creature. After the debunking clip, the video proceeds with the skeptical inquiry of regular people. Most said that it looked like an Ape, but some claimed that it was Bigfoot. Internet has shown, yet again, how people perceive this iconic figure. |

MoviesHollywood and Madison Avenue has made multiple different movies on Bigfoot, making him the spotlight of attention. The trilogy, "Blair Witch Project" which was directed by Eduardo Sanchez takes this 800-pound beast to an entirely new and terrifying level. Blair Witch's" director, Eduardo Sanchez is developing a Bigfoot-based horror movie that is planned to be the first trilogy of its kind. The trilogy is being put together with a group of Bigfoot enthusiasts to build the documentary, "Sasquatch: The Quest." The Video on the left is of a clip taken from the movie, Elf, directed by Jon Favreau. In this movie, actor, Will Ferrel, plays the character, Buddy the Elf. In the movie he is taped by the press, walking through the forrest with his arms swaying at his sides. His actions replicate the Bigfoot footage by Patterson in 1967. This shows how the movie industry makes fun of Bigfoot and its believers. Movies have made people grasp the belief that Bigfoot is an 8-foot tall hairy beast, who is a horrifying creature. It also makes us believe in other phenomenons like paranormal activities, exorcisms, and other beasts. Movies make beasts come alive in a live and fictional manner. The legend of Boggy Creek (1972) has turned more and more people as "Bigfoot goers". Kids that were between the ages of 10 and 13 were inspired by this movie to continue their research about this mythical beast. Back then it was rated G, because people were more sheltered, but now a days it would be PG-13 due to its horrifying pictures and suspense. Harry and the Hendersons (1987) made children remember this film for decades. Since this film makes fun of the Bigfoot subject, people recall that this was the film that made them dismiss the fact that Bigfoot was "real". When the show makes a hairy Bigfoot live in your living room and makes jokes about it, people tend to not believe it is real. Creature From Black Lake (1976) is about how two men explore the Louisiana swamps, but fall upon a Bigfoot-like creature. The movie is full of suspense while making the audience feel like they are in the situation itself. |
